Implementing Islamic Law in Western Countries

Dear all,

Recently I heard a hot debate in England caused by an idea advanced by a Bishop to integrate some Islamic law in British legal law. I don't understand how it comes? I mean how to implement Islamic law in a non-Islamic country?

I'm happy if someone could explain this.
